About the role
The Technical Training & Competency Coordinator will lead the design, delivery and management of Mercury’s fire‑protection training and competency programmes. Based in Dublin, you will ensure that all training aligns with international standards and supports the company’s engineering and construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate and maintain the annual fire‑protection training and competency programme in line with accreditation, certification and regulatory requirements.
- Design structured training pathways for auditors, inspectors, technical staff and certified installer organisations.
- Coordinate internal and external training events across classroom, on‑site and digital formats.
- Maintain individual competency records, certification status and CPD logs; track expiries and manage refresher training.
- Support the Technical Assurance & Accreditation Manager during accreditation audits.
- Administer assessment, examination and qualification processes according to certification scheme rules.
- Plan and schedule the training calendar, liaising with internal teams, external trainers and accreditation bodies.
- Manage training logistics, budgets, purchase orders and supplier performance.
- Ensure training documentation is audit‑ready, version‑controlled and stored in Mercury’s document control system.
Required profile
- Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programmes, preferably within fire‑protection or construction sectors.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple training schedules and maintain accurate records.
- Experience supporting accreditation audits and working with certification authorities.
Required skills
- Knowledge of fire‑protection standards: VdS, NFPA, EN, DIN, FM Global, LPC.
- Training programme development and delivery.
- Competency and certification management.
- Document control and record‑keeping systems.
- Training logistics, budgeting and supplier coordination.
