Transmission & Distribution Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Transmission & Distribution Project Manager to lead the delivery of renewable energy infrastructure projects in Cork. You will oversee all phases from pre‑construction through commissioning, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full financial accountability and overall management of assigned projects.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including direct labour and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with all codes, regulations and health & safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to specifications, safety procedures and quality benchmarks.
• Manage external consultants and resolve technical challenges promptly.
• Provide clear reporting to the Renewables Division Operations Manager, Contracts Manager and Director.
• Deliver electrical projects from pre‑construction to handover, maintaining commercial and contractual oversight.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Building Services, Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.
• 3‑5 years of site‑based construction experience on renewable energy projects.
• Hands‑on experience with 38 kV, 110 kV and 220 kV medium‑voltage substations, battery energy storage systems, grid connections and MV testing/commissioning.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop cross‑functional teams.
