About the role
Maynooth University is seeking an Administrative Officer II to lead the administrative functions of the Froebel Education Department. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, the role provides high‑level service to staff and students while shaping new systems and procedures to support departmental growth.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day administrative operations for the Froebel Department.
- Deliver responsive support to academic staff and students.
- Develop and implement new administrative systems in collaboration with Faculty and University services.
- Maintain accurate records, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with university policies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, minutes, and departmental communications.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in higher‑education administration or a comparable environment.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
- Familiarity with university administrative systems is desirable.
