Clerk of Works – Construction Assurance (Dublin)

About the role

As a Clerk of Works you will provide construction assurance on a major civil infrastructure scheme in Dublin, ensuring that all works meet contractual, regulatory and quality standards. You will act as the key interface between site teams, project leadership and stakeholders, supporting the Engineering Assurance sub‑function.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the NEC4 Project Supervisor in overseeing construction assurance activities on‑site.
• Inspect and monitor workmanship, quality and safety across civil works such as earthworks, drainage, bridges and structures.
• Verify compliance with Works Requirements, specifications, Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Support the establishment and leadership of the Engineering Assurance sub‑functional area.
• Contribute to financial, resource and programme planning for the scheme.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of the Clerk of Works team and act as the primary contact for site, project core teams and stakeholders.
• Promote knowledge transfer, collaboration and continuous improvement across consultant and client teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management or supervision on large‑scale road or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural works and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with Irish Building Regulations, planning processes and Health & Safety requirements.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude with excellent attention to detail.
