About the role
Avoca is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join the team at its Moll's Gap store. The position can be full‑time or part‑time and offers an immediate start in a fast‑paced, award‑winning retail and café environment.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, service and presentation in line with HACCP and health‑and‑safety legislation.
- Complete daily food safety and quality records accurately and ensure temperature logs are up to date.
- Prepare and present innovative dishes while adhering to required temperature controls.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Familiarity with HACCP documentation and food‑safety procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor, high personal hygiene standards and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
