Dutch Lawyer – Commercial & Contract Law (Dublin)

About the role

IBM is seeking a Dutch-qualified lawyer to join its Law Department in Dublin. The role offers a blend of commercial contract work, compliance oversight, and general legal advice across IBM's global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and advise on commercial agreements such as master services agreements, hardware/software supply contracts, cloud and data‑processing agreements, DORA addendums and NDAs.
• Support back‑to‑back contracts with subcontractors and handle marketing‑related agreements, including sponsorships.
• Verify compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti‑corruption statutes.
• Review new and existing third‑party relationships, assess red‑flags, and advise business, compliance and contract‑management teams on legal risks.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on complex EMEA or worldwide transactions.

Required profile

• Law degree from the Netherlands and qualification to practice in‑house in the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in private practice or in‑house, focusing on commercial and contract law.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate legal risks in IT service provisions.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of FCPA and other anti‑corruption regulations.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with compliance, business and contract teams.
