Early Years Practitioner (Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our inclusive mainstream pre‑school in Enniscorthy. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑17:30, and starts in September 2026. You will work closely with children aged 2½ years to school‑age, supporting their holistic development in a safe, stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a play‑based curriculum aligned with the Aistear and Siolta frameworks.
• Plan and facilitate activities that encourage creativity, exploration and critical thinking.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents, guardians and families.
• Observe, record and assess children’s progress, adapting approaches as needed.
• Support children with disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.

Required profile

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education (or equivalent listed on the DCEDIY recognised list).
• Minimum six months to one year experience in an early‑years setting (desirable).
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the National Early Years Practice Frameworks Aistear and Siolta.
• Experience working with children with disabilities.
