Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for maintenance, tooling, facilities and overall engineering functions within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role combines hands‑on floor presence with strategic oversight to drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and site reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering function across the manufacturing facility.
• Oversee maintenance, tooling, facilities and engineering operations to minimise downtime.
• Manage site utilities and systems including HVAC, air, water and electrical.
• Lead CAPEX projects from budgeting and planning through implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
• Support process optimisation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Develop maintenance strategies and asset‑management systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, HR and senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop engineering and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Participate in global engineering projects and cross‑functional initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Strong experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience leading engineering, maintenance or technical teams.
• Experience in high‑volume production facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
