Head of Retail – Executive Leadership Role

About the role

This senior executive position offers the opportunity to lead a nationally recognised retail group in Ireland. Reporting to the board, you will own a complex multi‑site operation, shape retail strategy and drive commercial performance across the entire network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large‑scale multi‑site retail operation across a national store network.
• Drive commercial performance, profitability and operational excellence in all locations.
• Develop and implement long‑term retail strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Mentor and develop senior retail leadership teams.
• Deliver best‑in‑class customer experience and operational standards.
• Identify growth, innovation and improvement opportunities.
• Lead transformational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and business development.
• Ensure consistency, governance and alignment across all retail operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience at senior retail leadership level within a large‑scale, multi‑site environment.
• Proven track record of delivering significant commercial growth and operational performance.
• Strong strategic and commercial focus with executive presence.
• Exceptional leadership capability, able to guide large teams through growth and transformation.
• Deep understanding of retail operations, customer behaviour and performance drivers.
• Influential communicator capable of operating effectively at board level.
• Passionate about people development, operational excellence and customer experience.
