Infrastructure Counsel – EMEA Data Center Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Counsel to support a leading technology company's data centre expansion across EMEA. This fully remote, 40‑hour‑per‑week position focuses on planning, land use, development and environmental permitting for hyperscale datacentre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on planning, zoning and environmental permitting for EMEA infrastructure projects.
• Draft, negotiate and finalize development agreements.
• Advocate for regulatory changes to streamline permitting processes.
• Manage external counsel and coordinate legal support.
• Develop templates, playbooks and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure legal compliance.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years post‑qualification experience in real estate, planning or environmental law.
• Experience with large infrastructure projects and EU environmental review processes.
• Background in a law firm, government agency or in‑house legal department.
• Qualified to practice law in the UK or an EU member state.
