Infrastructure Support Linux Admin

About the role

SMBC Group is seeking an Infrastructure Support Linux Administrator to join its Level 2 System Support team in Tralee. The role focuses on maintaining the stability, performance and security of Linux‑based infrastructure, automation and virtualization platforms supporting the bank’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 troubleshooting and resolution for Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and related infrastructure.
• Administer virtualization environments, including VMware, and ensure backup and recovery processes are reliable.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Ansible playbooks for configuration management, provisioning and operational automation.
• Manage identity and access controls across core platforms such as directory services and authentication mechanisms.
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability solutions to improve system health visibility.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational resilience.
