Legal Counsel

About the role

Join Chainlink’s legal team as a Legal Counsel and help shape the future of one of the leading blockchain oracle platforms. You will work closely with the General Counsel and business units to build a world‑class legal department and address cutting‑edge legal challenges in the decentralized finance space.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for evaluating complex business risks in a fast‑moving environment.
• Design scalable legal processes that enable rapid business execution while maintaining compliance.
• Support compliance with applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations in partnership with finance and operations teams.
• Continuously research and master emerging legal frameworks from global regulatory bodies.
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice to a wide range of business teams on blockchain‑related matters.

Required profile

• License to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction or the Republic of Ireland or the United Kingdom.
• Minimum 4 years of experience at a top law firm or 3 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively.
• Ownership mindset with the capacity to translate legal analysis into practical actions.

Required skills

• Prior experience with, detailed knowledge of, and passion for blockchain technology.
• Ability to present complex compliance and regulatory issues clearly and provide concise, results‑oriented advice.
• Experience counseling non‑lawyer clients in the blockchain or consumer‑technology industry.
• Familiarity with legal regimes affecting the decentralized finance sector.
