Maintenance Technician – Industrial Plant (Kildare)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team in Kildare. You will be responsible for the fabrication, routine upkeep, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and building systems within a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, identify faults and plan repairs using manuals and technical documentation.
• Carry out general repairs and routine maintenance on building services, plant machinery, alarms and instrumentation.
• Calibrate and test equipment in line with CMMS records, vendor recommendations and contractual requirements.
• Order spare parts and consumables, manage spares inventory and ensure availability for reliable plant operation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, oversee permit‑to‑work procedures (LOTO, hot‑work, general permits) and ensure safe completion of tasks.
• Respond to plant failures outside normal hours according to the on‑call roster and support remote troubleshooting when needed.
• Contribute ideas to improve reliability and efficiency in partnership with the Maintenance Lead.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled, cross‑functional mindset with previous experience in a facility maintenance setting.
• Ability to work with suppliers, internal customers and external contractors.
• Results‑driven, continuous‑improvement oriented and compliance focused.
• Good computer literacy and the ability to follow health, safety, ethical and quality standards.
