Mechanical Engineer – 12‑Month Contract (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support a major engineering project in Dublin on a 12‑month contract. You will work closely with the Project Lead and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality mechanical engineering outputs in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review equipment placement within designated systems and locations.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and cross‑functional teams to define project requirements.
• Support design reviews and provide mechanical engineering input.
• Verify service flows using technical documentation and specifications.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues, documenting discussions via Records of Discussion (RODs).
• Conduct Equipment Quality Assessments (EQAs) and engineering reviews.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Complete peer reviews accurately and on schedule.

Required profile

• Previous mechanical engineering experience in a project environment.
• Strong CAD and MS Excel skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical specifications, datasheets, and vendor documentation.
• Experience in engineering and quality reviews.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid work visa for Ireland or an EU passport.
