Open Rank Faculty – Associate Program Director, Internal Medicine

About the role

The Medical College of Georgia seeks a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph's / Candler Health System, Savannah campus. This non‑tenure‑track position supports the development and delivery of a nationally recognized residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the quality of didactic and clinical education across all training sites.
• Review, update, and revise curricula to align with ACGME competency standards.
• Select, supervise, and annually evaluate core faculty performance.
• Assist with ACGME reporting via the Accreditation Data System (ADS) and annual program documentation.
• Ensure timely resident evaluations, schedule creation, and compliance with duty‑hour regulations.
• Facilitate faculty credentialing and supervision documentation.
• Participate in GME governance meetings and Clinical Competency Committee activities, including milestone assessments.

Required profile

• Full‑time faculty appointment at Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank.
• Experience in internal medicine education and residency program administration.
• Familiarity with ACGME accreditation requirements and competency frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, faculty, and resident schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS) for reporting and data entry.
• Curriculum development and revision expertise.
• Faculty evaluation and performance tracking.
