Planning Manager – Supply Chain

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Planning Manager to join its Sligo site. You will lead end‑to‑end supply chain planning, ensuring production schedules, inventory levels, and material availability align with manufacturing needs while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Long‑Range Planning (LRP) processes.
• Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve organisational objectives.
• Monitor and control inventory to meet production and customer requirements while minimising excess stock.
• Develop and analyse supply‑chain scenarios, leading capacity and inventory planning activities.
• Support Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functions.
• Track and report planning performance metrics.
• Participate in network‑wide supply‑chain initiatives to improve integration and service.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects for planning processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing or supply‑chain planning.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and adaptability to changing business environments.
