Privacy Counsel – Legal & Data Protection

About the role

Join Bending Spoons as a Privacy Counsel and help embed privacy‑by‑design principles across product, engineering and security teams. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions and ensure our digital products remain compliant worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Security to embed privacy‑by‑design and turn regulations into technical implementations.
• Identify privacy risks early and shape compliant product features, workflows and internal processes.
• Manage privacy‑related legal work, using AI tools to draft and review DPAs, privacy policies, LIAs and DPIAs.
• Conduct privacy audits and coordinate with external consultants and legal advisors.
• Monitor evolving privacy regulations and case law, providing clear internal guidance.

Required profile

• Strong reasoning ability to solve complex problems from first principles.
• High drive and ambition with a sense of responsibility for outcomes.
• Team spirit – generous, collaborative, reliable and transparent.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of GDPR and other global data‑protection regulations.
