Procurement Buyer

About the role

As a Procurement Buyer at LetsGetChecked you will be a key member of the Supply Chain team, ensuring that direct material supplies for manufacturing and laboratory operations are delivered on time and at the right cost. You will work in an SAP S/4HANA environment and support continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.

Key responsibilities

• Place, track and manage purchase orders in line with site planning and inventory requirements.
• Provide forward‑looking volume forecasts to suppliers to enable medium‑ and long‑term capacity planning.
• Serve as the primary contact for order status, coordinating with Logistics Specialists to resolve transit or customs issues.
• Monitor open orders, flag potential shortages, and escalate critical supply risks to leadership.
• Collaborate with Planning, NPI, Logistics and Quality teams to troubleshoot supply constraints.
• Negotiate optimal pricing and lead times while auditing supplier performance for cost competitiveness and risk reduction.
• Support sustainability, responsibility and supplier‑diversity goals within sourcing strategies.
• Maintain the Approved Vendor List and ERP master data for assigned consumables.
• Achieve KPIs related to cost savings, delivery precision and inventory turns.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in a technical, manufacturing or business field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience with budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
• Proven ability to communicate, negotiate and solve problems effectively.
• Proactive attitude toward upskilling and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
