Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead all manufacturing and operational activities, ensuring that output, quality, safety and cost targets are consistently met. This senior role drives continuous improvement, embeds new ways of working and supports teams through change to boost overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production operations to achieve output, quality and delivery goals.
• Optimize use of labour, equipment and materials while maintaining health, safety and quality standards.
• Monitor performance, analyse data and implement corrective actions.
• Manage workforce planning, scheduling and performance management.
• Coach and develop production teams, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
• Act as a change agent, leading Lean, Six Sigma and process‑optimisation initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure successful adoption of change programmes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and HR to align production with business strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in leading change and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as medical devices, pharma or food.
• Third‑level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related field.
