Senior Associate Solicitor – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor with a focus on asset management funds to join an international law firm in Dublin. You will advise a portfolio of fund managers on the creation, structuring and regulatory compliance of a wide range of investment vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the structuring and establishment of private equity, hedge, venture capital and real‑estate funds, including limited partnerships and ICAVs.
• Prepare and review fund documentation to ensure compliance with investor expectations and market standards.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory frameworks such as AIFMD and other European securities laws.
• Assist with Central Bank of Ireland authorisation applications for AIFMs, fund administrators and MiFID firms.
• Provide legal support for debt‑issuance vehicles and related capital‑markets matters.
• Deliver strategic advice on fund governance, fiduciary duties and operational best practices.
• Support fund transactions, including M&A and restructurings, by conducting due diligence and offering practical legal solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, fund managers, investors and regulators while contributing to business development and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Record and bill time accurately, keep clients informed of fees, and act as a primary contact for assigned clients.
• Coach and mentor paralegals, trainees and new joiners.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in funds‑related work.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and generate repeat business.
• Experience coaching junior team members and contributing to firm development.
