Senior Design Coordinator – Waterford

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to lead design delivery on large‑scale housing projects during the construction phase. You will be the primary point of contact for all design‑related matters, ensuring that information is coordinated, technically robust, and aligned with programme requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design information across multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with BCAR and Irish Building Regulations.
• Chair design coordination meetings and manage document control throughout the construction process.
• Resolve on‑site design clashes and support value‑driven construction solutions.
• Handle RFIs, technical submissions, and drawing revisions in collaboration with contracts managers, consultants and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Design Coordinator or Senior Design Coordinator.
• Proven experience coordinating design at construction stage for residential, commercial or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong understanding of BCAR processes and Irish Building Regulations.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
