Senior kdb+ Engineer

About the role

Data Intellect is seeking a Senior kdb+ Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑performance, scalable data solutions for leading financial institutions. You will work with a global team of engineers, quants and traders to turn complex business requirements into efficient, production‑ready code.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery on client projects, setting standards for quality and performance.
• Design and implement robust kdb+ architectures handling billions of rows of time‑series data.
• Collaborate with quants, traders and analysts to translate business needs into performant code.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Own the full development lifecycle: develop, test, support and maintain client applications.
• Drive innovation by staying ahead of the curve in kdb+, q and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on kdb+ development with deep expertise in q and time‑series data.
• Proven experience designing and scaling kdb+ architectures in production.
• Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and decision‑making in fast‑paced projects.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
• Passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.
