Senior Lawyer – Projects & Construction

About the role

William Fry is seeking a dedicated senior lawyer to join its Projects & Construction team in Dublin. The role involves providing expert legal advice on a wide range of construction, energy, infrastructure and procurement matters across complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on construction‑related legal issues, including project procurement, disputes, project management, extensions of time and claims.
• Negotiate and draft construction contracts and financing or development agreements, including those arising in M&A transactions.
• Participate in Ireland’s largest and most complex construction projects, working with developers, contractors and funders.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Banking and Corporate departments on construction aspects of transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house team, focused on construction, energy infrastructure or major projects.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating construction contracts, especially RIAI and NEC forms.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Client‑focused with a proven record of building and maintaining relationships.
• Interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
