Technician Roles – Day Shift at New Dexcom Manufacturing Site

About the role

Dexcom is establishing its first European manufacturing facility in Athenry and is looking for skilled technicians to join the day‑shift team. The positions span process, equipment, controls/automation, supervisory and laboratory functions, supporting the launch and ongoing operation of a state‑of‑the‑art production line.

Key responsibilities

• Improve production yields and reduce equipment downtime.
• Manage material issues, non‑conformances and root‑cause investigations.
• Perform electromechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, vision systems and robotic automation.
• Lead and motivate a team of technicians (for supervisory roles).
• Conduct mechanical and wet‑lab testing in a controlled laboratory environment.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification or proven experience in one of the technician disciplines.
• Ability to work on fixed day‑shift schedules.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• For supervisory roles, prior people‑management experience.
