Clinical Nurse Manager – Clinical Trials & Research Unit

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 will join the Clinical Trials and Research Unit (CTRU) to work within a multi‑disciplinary team that supports clinical research. The role involves managing a caseload of patients enrolled in clinical trials and research projects, and contributing to the unit’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients participating in clinical trials and research studies.
• Manage and maintain a patient caseload throughout the duration of trials.
• Lead audit activities and deliver staff education under the direction of the Clinical Director and CNM2.
• Contribute to the preparation of research papers arising from CTRU studies.
• Support the expansion of the CTRU’s services to include selected Phase I clinical trials.

Required profile

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary research team.
• Responsibility for overseeing patient care on clinical trial protocols.
• Leadership in audit processes and staff training, guided by senior clinical management.
• Interest in contributing to scientific publications and strategic development of the unit.
