Director of Construction

About the role

This senior Director position sits at the heart of a leading European real‑estate fund, overseeing a pipeline of high‑value construction projects in Dublin ranging from €30 million to €200 million. The role involves end‑to‑end delivery of commercial and residential developments, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through design, planning, procurement, construction, and handover.
• Present design updates and risk assessments to internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyse designs for value optimisation and manage change throughout the project lifecycle.
• Set clear targets, monitor deliverables, and ensure safe, sustainable completion respecting the environment and local community.
• Chair and attend design coordination and construction progress meetings.
• Research innovative construction methodologies, sustainability practices, and market trends.

Required profile

• 15‑20+ years of experience delivering €30 million+ commercial or residential projects.
• Proven track record in a developer, Tier‑1 contractor, or construction consultancy environment, either in Ireland or internationally.
• Third‑level honours degree in Project Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive leadership, and excellent communication skills.
