EAP Psychotherapist – Wellbeing Counsellor (Dublin)

About the role

Join a leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Occupational Health provider as a Wellbeing Counsellor. You will work onsite in a vibrant Dublin office, delivering immediate emotional support via a 24/7 telephone helpline and, where appropriate, structured video counselling.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls within 8 seconds and conduct clinical assessments to determine the appropriate level of support.
• Provide telephone counselling, risk assessments, and sign‑posting to relevant services such as legal advice or medical helplines.
• Maintain accurate records in the company database and manage call‑backs, queues, and email inboxes according to service level agreements.
• Identify and manage risk in line with the company’s Risk Guidance Policy.
• Act as an online CBT mentor and deliver specialised support for trauma, suicide risk, and safeguarding issues.
• Participate in ongoing training and contribute to team and individual quality targets.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Counselling with at least 150 counselling hours.
• At least 12 months post‑qualification experience.
• Registered member of a recognised professional body (e.g., IACP).
• Strong communication skills, resilience and a solution‑focused mindset.
