Front Office Receptionist – Hotel Front of House

About the role

The Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at the newly refurbished SpringHill Hotel. You will represent the Front of House department with a friendly, energetic and professional attitude, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise yourself with daily arrivals, departures and special requests.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and courteously.
• Handle all customer enquiries, bookings and up‑selling opportunities.
• Process cash, charge, float and till procedures according to company policy.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Allocate arrivals for the following day’s business.
• Provide information on local amenities and transport.
• Carry out any other reasonable requests from management.

Required profile

• Strong command of the English language.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of Hotsoft is desirable.
• Hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent customer service and a welcoming personality.
• Ability to prioritise, organise work and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, early and evening shifts.
