Groundworks Foreperson

About the role

Glenveagh is seeking an experienced Groundworks Foreperson to lead the delivery of residential groundworks projects across Ireland. You will coordinate site teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure groundworks are delivered on schedule and within budget in line with the construction programme.
• Plan resources, sequence activities and coordinate with the site programme to meet deadlines.
• Manage and coordinate site staff and subcontractors, maintaining clear communication with the design team, Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Control daily resourcing, order materials, and produce look‑ahead plans.
• Complete the online daily site diary and weekly documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Carry out compliance, administration and performance recording for site operations and subcontractors.
• Provide training and technical advice to the site team.
• Plan tasks, organise plant and site facilities, and ensure compliance with health, safety and planning regulations.
• Report weekly and monthly data to site teams, key stakeholders and partners.

Required profile

• Degree, Higher Diploma, HETAC qualification or relevant trade experience.
• Background in residential developments is essential.
• Strong sense of ownership, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to lead a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards.
