Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Mechanical (Dublin Tunnel)

About the role

Egis Road and Tunnel Operation Ireland (ERTO) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Dublin Tunnel Control Building. You will be responsible for the upkeep of all mechanical and electrical systems within the tunnel, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in the Maintenance Management System.
• Attend scheduled tunnel closures and provide on‑call support as part of a roster.
• Liaise with contractors and support CAPEX upgrade projects.
• Lead and supervise maintenance projects to improve equipment reliability.
• Conduct civil, structural and environmental inspections as required.
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 55001, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Fully qualified electrician with a time‑served electrical qualification.
• Leaving Certificate preferred.
• Desirable experience with MV, LV, LSS and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
