Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine Registrar – Immediate Start

About the role

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is seeking a Registrar in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine (and IPATS) for its Temple Street campus. The position starts as soon as possible and is ideal for doctors trained in paediatrics, anaesthesiology or emergency medicine who wish to deepen their experience managing critically ill children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to children and adolescents (<16) in one of Europe’s largest PICUs.
• Collaborate with Specialist Registrars, Clinical Fellows and multidisciplinary teams across numerous paediatric specialties.
• Participate in teaching programmes, research projects and audit activities.
• For anaesthesiology trainees, incorporate theatre time to meet paediatric training requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor with IMC registration.
• Experience in paediatrics, anaesthesiology or emergency medicine.
• Immediate availability to commence employment.
• Academic IELTS (or equivalent) within the last 2 years – overall band 7.0, minimum 6.5 in each component.
• Completed Memberships are preferred.
