Senior Cost Manager – Project Monitoring (Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager / Project Monitor to join a boutique client‑side project management firm in Dublin. You will work on large‑scale private sector projects, collaborating with top‑ten builders across sectors such as hospitality, residential, student accommodation, healthcare, commercial, mixed‑use, government offices and green energy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from concept through to completion.
• Monitor project performance with a strong focus on cost control.
• Prepare budgets, valuations, cost reports and commercial forecasts.
• Oversee the main contractor on behalf of the client.
• Handle change control, variations and final account agreements.
• Track project costs and support strong financial performance.
• Collaborate closely with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Update and advise management and clients on project status and milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong overall construction experience on multi‑million‑euro projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
• Deep understanding of procurement, cost control and commercial reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Organised with strong commercial acumen.
