Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services (Hybrid)

About the role

We are a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Dublin delivering high‑value design projects across energy, industrial and commercial sectors. We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services and MEP design from concept through to handover, working on projects throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and mechanical building services design across multiple projects.
• Manage projects through concept, detailed design, tender and construction phases.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical and process teams.
• Design systems for ATEX‑classified environments, laboratories and cleanrooms.
• Produce technical reports, specifications and tender documentation.
• Support site activities, contractor coordination and address technical queries.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Act as a primary client contact throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical building services and MEP design.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong understanding of ATEX, laboratory and cleanroom requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for client and contractor interaction.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
