Senior Project Manager – Offshore Transmission (Managed Service)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery within an offshore transmission framework for EirGrid. The role operates under a managed‑service model, focusing on defined project scope and outcomes rather than time‑based resource augmentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the assigned offshore transmission project scope.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and risk registers.
• Serve as the primary interface between stakeholders, engineering teams and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and safety standards.
• Drive programme governance, reporting and performance tracking.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement and construction.
• Manage contractor and supplier performance within the defined scope.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience in energy, utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong background in offshore transmission, grid infrastructure or large‑scale capital projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects under structured governance frameworks.
• Experience working with transmission system operators or similar organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Relevant degree (Engineering, Project Management or related) and professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
