Senior Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

This 23‑month fixed‑term position supports the Site Finance Director in delivering financial planning, analysis and performance reporting for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Ballydine, Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor internal financial controls, facilitate internal and external audits, and ensure SOX compliance.
• Lead preparation of R&D tax credit submissions and government grant claims.
• Partner with operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and productivity initiatives.
• Produce monthly performance reports, dashboards and variance explanations, and drive financial stewardship in Finance Council.
• Support capital investment projects with GES and S&T, and contribute to cross‑site finance process improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment.
• Proven business partnering experience with senior leadership.
• Hands‑on experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Experience preparing Irish grant, subsidy or tax incentive applications.
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership abilities.
