Senior Specialist, Investment Product Control

About the role

Mercer's Product Control team in Dublin is looking for a Senior Specialist to oversee the operations and valuation of its portfolio range, manage key service providers and ensure compliance with investment managers. The role sits in the Operations Unit, which handles client on-boarding, fund launches, rebalancing, NAV and valuation oversight, regulatory and tax oversight, and third-party provider management. It is a highly visible senior position working with investment and commercial teams, Legal, Compliance, Portfolio Managers and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational processes across Mercer-managed portfolios
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, custodians and investment managers
• Monitor service levels, KPIs and operational performance
• Oversee NAV and valuation processes, including review of exceptions and investigation of issues
• Support fund audits and act as main contact for external auditors
• Prepare papers and updates for internal governance committees and Boards
• Support fund launches, restructures, transitions and closures
• Review fund and client documentation, including legal and operational agreements
• Identify operational risks and inefficiencies and help implement process improvements

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of fund operations, including fund accounting, middle office and transfer agency
• Good understanding of European fund structures, including UCITS and AIFs
• Experience with securities, loans and derivatives
• Ability to manage institutional client relationships and deliver a high standard of service
• Analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
