Utilisation Management Clinical Pharmacist – 12-Month Contract

About the role
This 12‑month contract position supports the development and implementation of drug coverage policies for a leading healthcare payer. The role combines clinical expertise with evidence‑based evaluation to ensure equitable access to medicines.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate medical literature, clinical guidelines and healthcare trends to inform drug coverage policies.
- Present utilisation management criteria to committees such as the National Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee.
- Translate custom drug coverage requests into policy recommendations aligned with payer benefit structures.
- Support implementation of custom drug coverage criteria in collaboration with Account Management teams.
- Develop an understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks, including Medicare Part D, and their impact on utilisation management.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert on utilisation management for cross‑functional projects.
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure programme effectiveness.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote‑first, hybrid environment.
Required profile
- Registered Pharmacist in Ireland (PSI) or a U.S. state.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
