Architectural Technologist

About the role

An established architectural practice is seeking an Architectural Technologist to translate design concepts into buildable technical solutions. Working closely with senior architects, you will help move projects from initial idea through to construction completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings, specifications and schedules using Revit, BIM 360 and AutoCAD.
• Resolve detailing challenges and ensure compliance with building regulations.
• Coordinate with the wider design team, consultants, project managers and contract administrators.
• Mentor junior staff and flag technical issues early.
• Participate in site visits, including occasional overseas travel.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years post‑qualified experience in architectural technology.
• Proven ability to work across multiple project stages.
• Strong understanding of materials, construction methods and regulatory compliance.
• Confident client, contractor and stakeholder communication.
