Assistant to National Director – Sustainable Infrastructure

About the role

The Assistant to the National Director, Sustainable Infrastructure will provide high‑level support to the National Director of Strategic Health Infrastructure and Capital Delivery. This permanent, whole‑time position is based in Dublin with flexibility to work across the HSE’s regional offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and strategic assistance to the National Director, ensuring smooth operation of the Sustainable Infrastructure portfolio.
• Coordinate meetings, briefings and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of the HSE’s blended working policy, managing on‑site attendance requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and policy documents related to capital delivery and infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with regional offices (Letterkenny, Sligo, Galway, Limerick, etc.) to facilitate information flow and project alignment.

Required profile

• Open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to read and adhere to the detailed Job Specification and Additional Campaign Information.
