Business Development Executive - Cyber Specialty Team

About the role

Marsh Ireland is looking for a Business Development Executive to join its Cyber team, supporting the Cyber Practice's growth in the Irish market. The role focuses on new and expanded Cyber/Tech and FINPRO product and solution sales, working with technical Cyber specialists and delivering the Marsh Cyber Ireland value proposition. It is based in a Marsh office in Dublin, Cork or Galway, with a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, and requires travel to colleagues, clients and prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and identify new business opportunities and build and maintain existing and prospective client relationships
• Develop and execute a growth strategy and development plan, and support implementation of a growth strategy to meet short, medium and long-term targets
• Gain technical knowledge of Marsh's CyberTech value proposition and CyberTech and FINPRO products
• Build relationships with prospects and clients while managing the active prospect list
• Develop market profiles, attend trade events, write marketing materials and share insights on social media
• Draft and deliver new business presentations and support colleagues in developing new business
• Review client risk assessments and identify opportunities for additional advisory, consulting and incident management services
• Work with stakeholders to increase cross-selling and conduct market research and competitor analysis
• Monitor sales performance metrics and report on them

Required profile

• CIP qualification (mandatory)
• 3 to 5 years of general insurance experience
• Previous insurance experience, ideally from a broking background
• Full driver's licence and access to own car or private transport
• Self-motivated, able to communicate at all levels, and eager to learn
• ACII qualification, proven sales delivery record, or sales/business development certifications are advantageous
