Insurance Bid Manager (12 Month Contract)

About the role

Marsh is recruiting an Insurance Bid Manager for a 12-month contract to join its IMPACT bid management team in Dublin. The team works with some of Ireland's largest and best-known companies and is described as highly successful, with a positive, supportive culture and excellent training and development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop bespoke insurance proposals and RFP responses for major clients and prospects, including some of the most prestigious organisations in Ireland.
• Collaborate with teams across Marsh to define project scope, timelines and requirements, overseeing the process from pre-bid through to debrief.
• Encourage colleagues to uphold best practices and foster innovative ideas.
• Contribute to a high-performing function so that clients and prospects receive the highest quality service and solutions.
• Ensure all bids comply with legal, regulatory and company standards.
• Liaise with the wider Marsh network and Industry Practices across the UK, Ireland and Europe on strategic sales initiatives and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Solid insurance background, with a genuine eagerness to develop skills and knowledge.
• CIP qualified, with a minimum of APA (CIP is a Chartered Insurance Professional qualification).
• Previous bid or project management experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to stay calm under pressure, flexible, ambitious and quick to learn and adapt.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong communication, organisational, planning and analytical abilities, able to work at executive level.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, able to review and verify work independently and collaboratively.
