Civil Foreman – Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead site activities on a major wastewater treatment plant project in Ballyboughal, North Dublin. The role involves supervising crews, ensuring safety and quality standards, and delivering the programme on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations across civil engineering and utility works.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant, and materials to maximise productivity.
• Oversee earthworks, drainage, pipeline installation, concrete works, and underground services.
• Monitor progress and ensure works align with project schedules.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure works meet required standards.
• Liaise with Site Engineers and management to resolve site issues and maintain programme targets.
• Maintain site records, daily diaries, labour returns, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries and manage site logistics effectively.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in drainage, utilities, concrete works, earthworks, and pipe installation.
• Previous experience on water or wastewater treatment projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors.
• Safe Pass and other relevant site certifications.
