Director – Energy Sector

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Director to lead its Energy business in Ireland. The role will drive growth, win high‑value projects and ensure successful delivery of large‑scale energy solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities, leading bid and proposal activities for contracts above £400k/€400k.
• Manage high‑value bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements, appropriate pricing and invoicing milestones.
• Act as Project Director for large packages, delivering projects on time, within budget and in compliance with contractual and legal standards.
• Oversee a significant portfolio of work, providing financial stewardship and performance reporting.
• Provide technical leadership, share expertise internally and represent SYSTRA at industry events.
• Lead and develop a team, modelling expected behaviours and fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in the Energy sector, preferably within infrastructure or construction.
• Track record of winning and delivering projects valued over £400k/€400k.
• Strong business development and bid management capabilities.
• Ability to work across multiple locations and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
