Finishing Manager – Section Manager / Finishing Foreman

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to lead the finishing works on a major construction development in Kildare. The role involves taking ownership of a key project area, coordinating trades and ensuring high‑quality delivery through to project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all finishing activities within the assigned project area.
• Drive programme delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Supervise subcontractors and direct labour on site, conducting quality inspections and managing snagging and close‑out activities.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Collaborate with design, project management and commercial teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor labour, plant and material usage to maximise productivity.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting on progress, quality and site activities.
• Champion health, safety and environmental best practices on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Section Manager, Finishing Foreman, Senior Foreman or similar leadership role on large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong background in delivering finishing trades and coordinating multiple subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of quality control, snagging and handover processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Trade background or construction‑related qualification desirable; main contractor experience highly advantageous.
