General Operative – Water Treatment Plant (Ballinamuck)

About the role

Glanua is looking for experienced General Operatives to join its multi‑disciplinary team at the Ballinamuck Water Treatment Plant. You will be involved from mobilisation through to final site finishes, working on a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering multiple projects, adhering to a "one team" culture.
• Install ducting, sewer pipework, manholes, drainage systems and water mains.
• Carry out site finishes such as kerbing, shuttering, concrete pouring, top‑soiling and landscaping.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards on site.
• Liaise with engineering, HSQE advisors and management to ensure safe, timely delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within utilities or water & wastewater.
• Experience on Irish Water projects is an advantage.
• Manual handling and Safe Pass certification required.
• Full driving licence.

Required skills

• Excavator operation
• Dumper operation
• Current SLG or LUGS tickets
• HDPE welding (desirable)
• Use of grade and level lasers
• Shuttering, kerbing and concrete pouring/finishing
