Health & Safety Consultant – Field Based Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join a leading, award‑winning provider of outsourced health and safety services. This field‑based position will see you working across a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering practical, compliant solutions that keep workplaces safe.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site health & safety visits and audits, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
• Provide expert, tailored advice on health & safety best practices to clients in various sectors.
• Support accident investigations, liaise with enforcement authorities, and assist with crisis management when required.
• Produce high‑quality reports, documentation, and management updates.
• Deliver training, guidance, and implementation support for health & safety management systems.
• Collaborate with Business Development Managers and internal teams to enhance the client experience.

Required profile

• Strong health & safety experience across multiple industries.
• Professional qualifications such as CMIOSH, GradIOSH or CertIOSH (or working towards one).
• Excellent relationship‑building and client‑engagement abilities.
• Ability to translate legislation into practical, actionable advice.
• Proactive, organised, and confident working independently.

Required skills

• CMIOSH, GradIOSH or CertIOSH certification (or progress towards it).
