HSQE Manager – Health, Safety, Quality & Environment

About the role

ESK is seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental function for its infrastructure projects across the southern region of Ireland. Based on site in Clonmel, you will own the HSQE systems, drive a strong safety culture and support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage ESK's HSQE function, ensuring compliance with company policies and Irish legislation.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve HSQE systems, ISO management procedures and related documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, risk assessments and method statements.
• Prepare and review Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans and Environmental Management Plans.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and HSQE training for staff and subcontractors.
• Monitor construction quality to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain HSQE records and produce reports for senior management and clients.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies on all HSQE matters.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of HSQE experience in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Proactive, independent and able to take full ownership of the HSQE function.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Full driving licence.
