Implementation Lead

About the role

We are seeking a senior LIMS Implementation Lead to drive the configuration, validation and upgrade of a LabWare LIMS platform at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Galway. The role is critical to a 12‑month digital transformation programme and will work closely with QA, QC and global digital teams to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site‑level LIMS implementation activities, including configuration, testing and release.
• Own the validation lifecycle: execute and review electronic test scripts, obtain SME approval and manage sign‑off.
• Define and govern master data strategy, overseeing creation, verification and qualification.
• Provide technical leadership for legacy data migration, new functionality builds and system integrations.
• Support UAT execution, troubleshoot issues and act as the site SME for LIMS.
• Collaborate with QA, QC and global digital teams to align with GMP, data integrity and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Proven track record of LIMS implementation, preferably LabWare.
• Strong knowledge of validation processes, data integrity and master data management.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory systems such as Empower and SAP interfaces.
• Understanding of QC laboratory operations, wet chemistry and analytical workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a SME within cross‑functional teams.
