Institutional Research Data Analyst

About the role
The Institutional Research Data Analyst will join the Office for Institutional Research & Data Insights at Maynooth University. The role supports the university’s strategic planning, decision‑making and reporting by turning institutional data into actionable insights for academic, administrative and senior leadership audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, clean, analyse and interpret a wide range of institutional data sets.
- Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports that inform the University Strategic Plan, external reporting obligations and quality reviews.
- Support equality and inclusion initiatives through targeted data analysis.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative units to identify data needs and develop appropriate reporting solutions.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies and analytical processes.
Required profile
- Experience in data analysis and reporting within a higher‑education or research environment.
- Strong understanding of institutional research concepts and strategic planning processes.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality and integrity.
