Lightning Protection Technician

About the role

The Lightning Protection Technician will join LPI Group’s project teams to install and upgrade lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and tall structures across Europe. Reporting to the project manager and site supervisor, you will work on pre‑designed schemes while ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Install lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and a variety of tall structures following drawings, risk assessments and method statements.
• Carry out upgrades to existing lightning protection systems according to provided instructions.
• Complete all required paperwork, including risk assessments, job sheets, marked‑up drawings, material schedules and timesheets, and return them to the office team.
• Provide on‑site communication and advice to clients or project managers, representing the company professionally.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety and environmental protocols throughout all tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the construction industry or a similar environment.
• Electrical experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience working on commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and familiarity with EQHS Management System.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (German, Dutch, French, Spanish) are a plus.
